You can operate the air conditioning remotely.
If you cannot operate the air conditioning remotely
Remote operation of the air conditioning is not possible in the following cases.
- The vehicle has started.
- One of the openings is open. (Door, hood, back door, roof)
- The remote key (portable remote) is inside the vehicle.
- The gear shift is in a position other than “P.”
- The brake pedal is being depressed.
- Driver authentication has expired. Authenticate the Driver
- The warning light is on. Check the Status of the Warning Lights
- Battery precondition is not completed within 40 minutes.
Cautions for parking
When the air conditioning is turned on, the vehicle starts. To prevent unexpected accidents when starting the vehicle, please check the following when parking.
- The windshield wiper switch is in the off position.
- All windows are closed and doors are locked.
- The select lever is in the "P" position, and the vehicle is secured from movement by the parking brake or wheel chocks.
Cautions when operating the air conditioning remotely
Please pay attention to the following when operating the remote air conditioning.
- The remote folding function of the mirror is activated. Please fold the mirror.
- The audio system or navigation system is operating. Please adjust the volume and other settings in advance.
- The head-up display is operating. Please do not place objects around the opening of the head-up display or the light-receiving area.
- When the light switch is in the “on” position, the headlights and side marker lights will turn on. Please do not use with the lighting switch in the “on” position.
- Please be aware that devices will operate when connected to the accessory socket or USB socket.
Turn on the air conditioning
You can turn on the air conditioning even when you are away from the vehicle. You can also turn on the defroster and rear defogger.
For example, during the hot summer period, you can start the vehicle and turn on the air conditioning before getting in to your vehicle and lowering the temperature.
- The temperature specified in the app becomes the air conditioner’s set temperature, so the interior temperature of the vehicle will not necessarily reach the specified temperature.
- It is not possible to use only the rear defogger function through remote operation.

Tap [
] on the Home screen.
To use the remote air conditioning, the Remote PIN is required. If you haven’t set up a Remote PIN yet, instructions for setting it up will be displayed.
For Primary User: Authentication Settings
For Secondary Users: Authentication Settings -
Tap [AUTO] or [FRONT].
When [FRONT] is selected, warm air is concentrated and blown out from near the windshield and door mirrors (defroster).

Move the [〇] left or right to set the temperature and start time.
You can also adjust the settings by tapping the up-and-down arrows ([∧] [∨]) above and below the temperature display, or the plus/minus symbols ([-] [+]) next to the start-up time.
If [FRONT] is selected, the temperature cannot be changed.

Tap [Options].

Tap the item to turn the option function on or off, and then tap [Set].
The Seat Heater and Steering Heater functions are only displayed in models designed for cold climates.

Tap [Set].

Check the contents of the warning and tap [Confirm].

Enter the Remote PIN.
The air conditioning will turn on after a short while. A notification on the operation results is sent to your smartphone.
Change the air conditioning settings
If you turn on the air conditioning via remote operation, you can use remote operation to change the settings.
The startup time and Battery Precondition settings cannot be changed.

After changing the various settings on the Air Conditioning Settings screen, tap [Apply] .
Subsequent procedures are the same as steps ❼ To ❽ for “Turn on the air conditioning.”
Turn off the air conditioning
If you turn on the air conditioning via remote operation, you can use remote operation to turn off the air conditioning.

On the Air Conditioning Settings screen, tap [Turn Off].

Tap [Turn Off] on the confirmation message.
The air conditioning (vehicle) will stop after a short while. A notification on the operation results is sent to your smartphone.
